Notice on Article Solicitation for the 3rd Council Reelection Meeting of RSA, CSA & the 1st Seminar on China Resettlement Sociology

 

The office term of the 3rd council of the RSA, CSA has expired, and the council will be reelected this year. With the approval of the Chinese Sociological Association, the Council Reelection Meeting of RSA & 1st Seminar on China Resettlement Sociology will be held in Nanjing during June 17-18, 2017.

The seminar aims to give publicity to achievements of all-round reform, and economic and social development around the new concepts, thoughts and strategies of the CPC Central Committee on national and political governance.

In order to ensure the success of the seminar, the matters on article solicitation are notified as follows:

I.    Topics

Main topics covered by this seminar include:

1.    Building of resettlement sociology discipline system;

2.    Globalization and resettlement;

3.    Belt and Road Initiative, and resettlement;

4.    Construction and resettlement;

5.    Targeted poverty reduction and resettlement;

6.    Development, issues and experience of global resettlement;

7.    New-type urbanization and resettlement;

8.    Ecological resettlement;

9.    Climate change and resettlement;

10. Resettlement, and social stability, conflict and rejection;

11. Domestic and overseas theories and experience on resettlement;

12.  Others.

Notes: 1) The above topics are proposed for reference only; 2) The organizer will select attendees and speakers based on article quality.

II.   Timing and requirements

1. Please select a topic within the scope of the above guide.

2.  Please submit the abstract in electronic form by May 15 (not more than 400 words) (E-mail: ymshx_china@126.com).

3.  Please submit the full text in electronic form by May 20 (not more than 8,000 words) (E-mail: ymshx_china@126.com).

4. See Annex 1 for the format requirements.

5. Please submit the article by e-mail.

6. Be sure to indicate “Committee on Resettlement Sociology”, the author and the contact information in the header.

III.  Schedule

Registration time for non-local delegates: June 17, 2017 13:00-20:00

Registration time for local delegates: June 18, 2017 7:00-8:20

Meeting duration: June 18, 2017 (full day)

IV. Venue

Address: Hohai University, No.1 Xikang Road, Nanjing, Jiangsu

Accommodation and travel: Rooms for non-local delegates will be booked by the organizer, and accommodation and round-trip travel costs will be borne by themselves.

V.  Deadline for article submission

Deadline for article submission: May 20, 2017

Experts, scholars and people from different social communities are expected to contribute articles actively, and select topics within the above scope. We will invite authors to the seminar based on article quality.
